Model Item Properties에서 사용되는 각 속성들은 bind element를 통해 instance data node에 Binding 될 때 적용된다. 이러한 속성들은 XForms Processor에 의해 그 속성들의 가치가 재평가 되어 Forms Control에 적용될 수 있다. 다시 말하여 Model Item Property는 instance data node에 반영되는 속성이라 정의할 수 있지만, 유저인터페이스 입장에서 XForm Process는 Form Control에 그 속성의 의미 를 반영할 수 있다는 의미이다.
